The One Where It Rained

So it rained and rained last weekend.  A quick trip to Belper and to Primsisters and a look around the Oxfam book shop was all done in the space of about 20 minutes.  The quickest I've ever been to Belper and of course no photos due to the very sad weather.  Primsisters has to be one of my favourite shops of all time.  A collective mix of modern and vintage items and wonderful packaging whenever you purchase anything.

I then hopped, skipped and jumped over to Kimberley, where I spent a happy half hour in my favourite coffee shop Madhatters.  If you haven't been in, it's a treat; from the charismatic owner to the best cakes and hot chocolate that I've ever tasted!   It would have been rude not to pop into Alice Antiques shop whilst I was over that way, so I had a quick peep and then back home again.

Sunday saw us call into our local for lunch only to come straight out again as the football was on, which takes over the whole pub.   So we decided to try Horse and Groom pub at Moorgreen and had a full roast dinner.   Then it was off to the pantomime to see...The Hoff!   It was a completely surreal experience especially as I used to have his poster on my wall when he was in Knight Rider - who would have thought he would ever be in Nottingham?  I have to say I preferred the pantomime at The Playhouse, it seemed more animated and the actors enjoyed being on stage more that the ones in Peter Pan.  Although I love the story of Peter Pan, this one seemed to drag on,  but it was definitely worth going to see The Hoff!
