A few thrift finds at the local charity shop and I also managed to drop in to my favourite coffee shop Madhatters again and sit and read the papers - I never seem to find time to read these properly, so it was nice to sit and chill with a hot chocolate.

The Weekend Of Getting Sorted
A few thrift finds at the local charity shop and I also managed to drop in to my favourite coffee shop Madhatters again and sit and read the papers - I never seem to find time to read these properly, so it was nice to sit and chill with a hot chocolate.
The Weekend Parade
Last Saturday was all about the Elephants! After seeing various ones pop up on the social networks, I knew I had to go and see them and quick! The Elephants are featured throughout the Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh centre in Nottingham as part of raising awareness for the Asian Elephant Foundation and they are stunningly beautiful, creating an array of emotions as you read each individual story on how the elephants were designed.
After taking numerous photos, we headed up to the Playhouse, where we had seen an elephant pictured. Unfortunately it had been moved back to one of the centres, but whilst we were in that area, we decided to stay for lunch and then headed back to Eastwood and Durban House that was featuring a photo exhibition with a few photos by my hubbie.

The One Where It Rained
I then hopped, skipped and jumped over to Kimberley, where I spent a happy half hour in my favourite coffee shop Madhatters. If you haven't been in, it's a treat; from the charismatic owner to the best cakes and hot chocolate that I've ever tasted! It would have been rude not to pop into Alice Antiques shop whilst I was over that way, so I had a quick peep and then back home again.
Sunday saw us call into our local for lunch only to come straight out again as the football was on, which takes over the whole pub. So we decided to try Horse and Groom pub at Moorgreen and had a full roast dinner. Then it was off to the pantomime to see...The Hoff! It was a completely surreal experience especially as I used to have his poster on my wall when he was in Knight Rider - who would have thought he would ever be in Nottingham? I have to say I preferred the pantomime at The Playhouse, it seemed more animated and the actors enjoyed being on stage more that the ones in Peter Pan. Although I love the story of Peter Pan, this one seemed to drag on, but it was definitely worth going to see The Hoff!
